Daily Digest – October 10. OneMain Seeks New Owner; Hurricanes Will Send Delinquency Rates Higher

  • OneMain Financial, the former consumer lending arm of Citigroup which specializes in subprime auto lending, is actively seeking someone to buy the company, according to published reports. Springleaf Financial purchased the company from Citigroup in 2015.

ANALYSTS PREDICT HIGHER DELINQUENCY RATES THANKS TO HURRICANES

  • Analysts are expecting higher delinquency rates stemming from a wave of hurricanes that have caused billions of dollars in damage this year. On the positive side, however, is that car sales are expected to improve as more individuals need to replace vehicles that were damaged during the storms.

WORTH NOTING: Before and after photos showing significant damage caused by wildfires out in California … A group of very successful women are asked what they would have changed as they climbed up the corporate ladder … Here are 16 strategies for closing a sale, revealed by 16 different salespeople … How to manage your schedule like a boss … Life hacks that are actually bogus … Now that Harvey Weinstein has been outed and fired, here is the most important question: will the Queen revoke the honor she had bestowed on him? … Uber has reached a $20 million settlement over sending unsolicited text messages … Why working dads have it better at home than working moms do … The Environmental Protection Agency is expected today to begin rolling back rules for power plants to lower their emissions … If you’re going to snort cocaine, please make sure nobody is taking a video of it … A one-on-one interview with President Trump … President Trump wants to change the tax law to penalize NFL teams that disrespect the national anthem … Millennials may be on track to retire richer than their parents.

I’ve watched this five times in two hours this morning.

Hard to believe that somebody, somewhere thought this was a good idea
